Who this is for. Anyone holding a live notice under section 148, 148A or 143(2), or a DRC-01 under GST, with the response window running.
What the session examines
A partner reads the papers before the call, so the time goes on the position rather than on the background. These are the checkpoints the session works through.
- What the notice actually alleges, separated from what it recites
- Jurisdiction and limitation: whether it was validly issued, and by whom
- Procedural defects worth taking, and the ones not worth spending the reply on
- The evidence that has to be on the record before the reply goes in
- The realistic path — reply, rectification, appeal — and what each costs in time
What you leave with
A defence outline: the points to take, the documents to assemble, and the date each step falls due. It is yours to act on, with or without the firm.
How it runs
- Book a slot and pay. The fee is taken at booking, which is what holds the time.
- Send the papers at least a day ahead. 30 minutes is not long enough to also read them on the call.
- The session itself, with a partner who has already read the file.
- The written note follows.
