What this site collects

Short version: nothing while you read, and only what you type into a form if you choose to send one. The detail is below.

Last updated 21 September 2026

This notice explains what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers the website only. Information you give us in the course of an engagement is governed by our professional obligations, which are stricter and are described at the end.

What the site collects when you are only reading

Nothing.

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels. It loads no webfonts, no content delivery network assets and no social media widgets. There is no sign-in and nothing is stored in your browser.

Two things are worth naming because they are the exceptions:

  • The office map on the contact page is a Google embed, and it does not load until you press the button asking for it. Loading it shares your IP address with Google and allows Google to set cookies in your browser under its own terms. If you would rather not, the address is printed beside the button and the map link opens in a new tab.
  • Our web server keeps access logs, as web servers do. These record the IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. They exist to keep the site running and secure, not to build a picture of you, and they are not combined with anything else.

What the forms collect

Two forms on this site collect information, and only if you choose to fill one in:

  • The enquiry form on the contact page: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
  • The session request form: the session or practice area you selected, your name, the company or firm you give, your email address, your phone number, a preferred date if you give one, and what you write about the matter.

Both also record the page you sent it from and the time you sent it, so that we can see what you were reading when you wrote.

Please do not attach documents or paste identifying client records into these forms. The session request form asks what the matter is about, and a short description is all it needs — the section and date of a notice, the assessment year, the amount in question. Anything more sensitive is better sent once a slot is confirmed, and the form says so.

Where it goes

When you submit a form, it is sent to a small script that we run inside our own Google account. That script emails the enquiry to us and records it in a spreadsheet that only we can open. We do not use Formspree, Typeform or any other form service, so your enquiry does not pass through a third party's system on its way to us.

That means the information sits in Google Workspace, which processes it for us as our provider. Our website is hosted on a server operated for us by our hosting provider, which holds the access logs described above. Those two, and nobody else.

We do not sell information, we do not share it for anyone's marketing, and we do not use it to advertise to you. We will disclose it where we are required to by law or by a court or regulator, and we will tell you if that happens unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, to decide whether we can act and to confirm a slot if we can, and to keep a record of what was asked and what we said. If we are engaged, the enquiry becomes part of the engagement record.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months.

Where an engagement follows, the file is kept for as long as the Income-tax Act, 1961, the Companies Act, 2013 and our professional obligations as Chartered Accountants require us to keep it, which is longer, and then it is destroyed.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it, ask us to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete, ask us to erase it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw a consent you gave us. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to.

Write to info@aamaca.com and we will answer. If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Confidentiality is a separate and stronger duty

Everything above is about data protection law. As Chartered Accountants we are also bound by the duty of confidentiality in the ICAI Code of Ethics, which applies to what a client tells us regardless of what any privacy notice says, does not end when the engagement does, and is not something we can contract out of.

If you are unsure whether to put something in a form, the answer is to call the office instead. The number is +91 97115 66000.

Changes

We will change this notice when the site changes, and the date at the top will move. We do not change it quietly: if the change affects what we collect or where it goes, this section will say what changed.
